Major Responsibilities
- Guides artists in art processes, while teaching materials and technique skills.
- Teaches art making and vocational skills.
- Works individually with individuals served to remove barriers to learning and enhance participation in services.
- Serves as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic and values-based services.
- Supports individuals in the community based on individual service outcomes and frequency/duration as described in the individual service plan.
- Develops volunteers working in the studio.
- Works with the team to create functional processes and attend staff meetings and in-service training.
- Completes required clinical and administrative documentation in a timely manner.
- Tracks daily attendance and manages staff grouping for classes and special projects.
- Collaborates and oversees the efficient organization of the studio, classes, supplies, and storage, including managing art studio materials and creating inventories.
Job Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor's Degree, plus 1 year of related experience in an art discipline OR High School Diploma/GED equivalency, plus 3 years of studio practice, including 1 year of related experience in an art discipline.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Products and Applications.

- Physical Demands: Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Stand/Sit (stationary): Requires standing and sitting for extended periods.
- Walk: May require walking between locations.
- Use hands/fingers: Requires fine motor skills for manipulating tools and materials.
- Climb: May require climbing stairs or ladders.
- Talk/Hear: Must communicate effectively verbally.
- See: Must have normal visual acuity.
- Push/Pull: May require pushing/pulling objects.
- Repetitive Motion: May involve repetitive hand movements.
- Reach (high/low): May require reaching above shoulder level or below waist level.
- Kneel/Stoop/Crouch/Crawl: May require bending down or crawling.
Vehicle Requirements
- Current driver’s license, driver registration, and a functional vehicle.
Equipment Operations
- Telephone: Cellular - Multi-line, Calculator, Copier, Fax, Computer.
Computer Software Applications
- Has knowledge of each program.
