About the role
Avōq is seeking an Art Director who transforms imagination into impactful design solutions. This role involves working closely with clients to develop creative concepts and bring them to life across various media.
Responsibilities
- Partner with a Copywriter to conceive and execute groundbreaking advertising campaigns that address client challenges and resonate with audiences.
- Create a wide array of deliverables across different media types such as social, digital, video, print, radio, out-of-home (OOH), experiential, and more.
- Present and defend the work with clarity and conviction, both internally and with clients.
- Offer creative insights and strategic advice to colleagues and clients.
- Oversee the production and post-production phases of video and still photography projects.
- Contribute to new business initiatives and pitches.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience with a strong portfolio showcasing conceptual advertising art direction skills.
- Current on the latest creative tactics and marketing trends.
- Experience pitching ideas and influencing outcomes with clients.
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
- Understanding of user experience design and web best practices.
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Prior agency experience and/or an ad school degree preferred, but a stellar portfolio and relevant experience without formal education will be considered.
Qualifications
- Ability to work 4 days in the office based in New York City.

- Interprets the intangible aspects of brands that aren't easily translated to visual media.
- Communicates effectively to sway others towards your vision.

- Salary range: $75,000 - $95,000 per year.
