Art & Design Technician

About the role

We are looking for an inspirational and motivated Art and Design Technician to join the Art & Design department in October 2026. The role involves providing support and some teaching across the department, being part of a strong, dynamic team that delivers high quality teaching across the school. Babington House is an outstanding school where staff inspire pupils from Senior School down to Nursery to achieve excellent results, providing a first‑class education and outstanding support. The learning environment caters to each individual’s needs, helping pupils develop new skills, broaden their knowledge and reach their potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and teaching across the Art & Design department.
• Be part of a strong, dynamic team delivering high quality teaching across the school.
• Some evening work may be required for school events.

Requirements

• Experience of working within an art and design environment (highly beneficial).
• Excellent subject knowledge.
• Effective communicator.
• Commitment, drive and enthusiasm.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Applicants must undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
