Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in recreation, physical education or business administration field plus four (4) years experience in the development, organization and operation of a water park, aquatics program or public swimming pool facility.
- One (1) year of the required experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.
- Requires excellent customer service skills, effective oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills, valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Depending on location, candidate may be required to obtain the following certifications within first six (6) months of employment: Lifeguard Instructor Certification, First Aid/CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Pool Operator Certification, Water Safety Instructor Certification or Food Manager’s Certification.
- Experience ensuring adherence to state and local health and safety regulations; maintaining financial records; cash handling; scheduling facility maintenance and repair; pool chemical monitoring; development of training materials and conducting aquatic training classes, performing risk management activities; planning and conducting aquatic-oriented special events; preparing/monitoring of budget and revenues; and marketing are essential for this position responsible for the operation of multiple community pool locations OR the Aquatic component of the Bahama Beach Family Water Park.
- An eight (8) year combination of specified education and/or experience will qualify.

- Do you have experience supervising seasonal and full-time staff?
- Have you taught CPR, First Aid, Life Guard and Water Safety classes?
- Do you have experience planning and conducting aquatic programs and special events?
- Are you familiar with swimming pool filtration and sanitation equipment?
- Do you have experience developing marketing plans for aquatics facilities?
