About the Role

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technicians to perform x-ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. This position operates diagnostic equipment, develops film, prepares rooms with necessary equipment and supplies, and performs Medical Assistant duties.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly greet patients in waiting areas, exam rooms, laboratories, or x-ray rooms.
  • Communicate wait times and provide direction to patients throughout the treatment process.
  • Address patient problems and seek assistance in emergent or hazardous situations.
  • Make follow-up calls with urgency.
  • Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in and check-out procedures as needed.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, weight, medical history, medications, allergies, and other pertinent information.
  • Assist with patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision.
  • Complete required documentation related to patient visits.
  • Perform timely radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by attending physicians.
  • Conduct quality control procedures to ensure high-quality exams.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, adhering to safety and care protocols, including radiation protection and shielding.
  • Ensure equipment is in proper working order and report malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty.
  • Maintain and improve diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills through educational resources.
  • Maintain current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS Certification.
  • AR State X-Ray License.
  • ARRT Certification preferred.
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Schedule

Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
