About the Role

At Arriba Abajo, a Cantina-themed Bar and Restaurant inside the Thompson and Tommie Austin hotels, restaurant servers are responsible for submitting guest menu selections and presenting food and beverage preferences. The ideal candidate will gain menu knowledge and provide recommendations from our diverse cuisine and drink offerings. Servers play an integral role in creating a memorable stay for guests through engaging conversation and excellent customer service.

About the Hotels

Thompson Austin offers 212 luxury guestrooms and suites plus 17 residences, a 10,000 square foot wellness center, three restaurant and bar concepts, an expansive pool deck with private cabanas, and over 10,000 square feet of flexible event space. The 193-room Tommie Austin is designed for the spirited adventurer, featuring a bespoke coffee and wine shop and fostering connections with the local neighborhood.

Arriba Abajo spans 17,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining and lounge space, including multiple venues for private events and a pool deck servicing hotel guests and residents. The ground floor also hosts The 5th Street Diner and The Royale Room, a street-side concept serving daily fare for locals and guests. The mixed-use project includes the residential tower Sienna, 10,000 square feet of retail space, and a 7,000 sq. ft. fitness center with a simulator room, the "T" Box.

Responsibilities

• Submit guest menu selections and present food and beverage orders accurately.
• Develop menu knowledge to provide recommendations from our cuisine and drink offerings.
• Engage in casual conversation to enhance guest experiences and create memorable stays.
• Provide efficient and attentive service in a fast-paced environment.
• Work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team.

Requirements
