About the role

The Armistead Avenue Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced or new graduate veterinarian to join their growing team. The position is open due to retirement and offers a supportive environment with a high level of employee retention.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and urgent care treatment, as well as soft tissue surgery and dentistry to Hampton, Virginia and surrounding small animal communities.
• Work in an appointment-based model, not walk-in only.
• Benefit from an electronic medical records system that is fully transitioned.
• Enjoy a flexible schedule, including options for full-time, part-time, and relief positions.
• Join a team of 10 employees who have been with the practice for more than a decade.
• Work with a board-certified surgeon and skilled ultrasonographer who visit weekly to support diagnostic and treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA accredited university upon hire.
• Current DEA License or obtained upon hire.
• Active Veterinary State License upon hire.
• Experience as a full-time, part-time, or relief veterinarian.
• Prior experience working as a small animal technician or assistant may be considered for new graduates.

Benefits

• Full-time base salary range of $150,000 - $180,000 plus optional production plan.
• Earning potential on production plan exceeds $200,000.
