Armed Uniformed Static Officer

Security Officer Role

Static Security Officers are Uniformed Security Officers who use their physical presence to act as a visible deterrent to crime. They are trained in the use of non-lethal and lethal Use of Force depending on their security level and weapons certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide both physical security as well as roving foot patrols to regularly check Client property, and to deter and report crimes.
• Lawfully detain and arrest persons who commit crimes on Client property and work with local law enforcement in submitting reports and transferring custody of suspects who trespass or commit crimes while on Client property.
• Submit Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports as necessary.

Requirements

• Must be legally and physically able to train in the use of firearms and/or have prior firearms training and handling.
• Will need to prove competency for Armed Certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Clean background with no criminal convictions.
• Physical strength and fitness.
• Clean cut appearance and grooming standards required.
• Strict moral and ethical code of integrity and honesty.
• Minimum one year prior experience as a Security Guard.

• Attention to detail.
• Ability to operate security systems and emergency equipment.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work alone with limited supervision as well as to be a team player.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and to respect a Chain of Command.
• Ability to solve problems as they arise.
• Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations and to use Deescalation techniques.
• Good understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
• Ability to submit daily written reports.
• Outstanding surveillance and observation skills.
• Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense (training is also provided).
• Trained in legal Use of Force (training is also provided).
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
• Good time-management skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
