ARMED Security Shift Supervisor
About the role
The Armed Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer. This role acts as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach professional security officers within the approved empowerment range.
- Provide recognition and discipline to professional security officers.
- Communicate staffing needs on the shift to the Account Manager or Operations Manager.
- Ensure professional security officers receive appropriate training, focusing on both technical and professional skills.
- Handle employee grievances with help from appropriate district or region HR support.
- Administer Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety programs, outlining site-specific hazards for professional security officers on the assigned shift, including vehicle/driving safety as appropriate to corporate procedures.
- Aid the Account or Operations Manager in managing uniforms, equipment, supplies, and vehicles utilized at the account, maintaining appropriate inventories and maintenance checklists.
- Manage crisis situations at the client site, ensuring calm and efficient handling.
- Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat; occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds; climb stairs, ramps, or ladders; stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods.
Qualifications/Requirements
- At least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel and the general public professionally and effectively.
- Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites.
- Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat; occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds; climb stairs, ramps, or ladders; stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods.
