Armed Security Officer PT Healthcare

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will work at a healthcare location monitoring assigned areas, conducting patrols, and providing customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, healthcare location policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Maintain access points and restricted areas, assist with visitor guidance, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Maintain required armed officer qualifications, follow applicable weapons protocols, and document security-related incidents and patrol activity accurately.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card and/or license.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
• Possess a .40 caliber endorsement.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements for armed roles include a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of healthcare location policies and emergency response activities.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
