Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. In this role, you will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with post orders, identification protocols, and assigned responsibilities.
• Support Allied Universal standards by preparing incident reports, maintaining situational awareness, and following direction related to security-related duties, equipment, and/or response procedures.

Requirements

• Possess a Certified Protection Officer credential.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $23.34 / Hour
