Security Officer Armed Patrol Specialist
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response support at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and local authorities when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas while verifying credentials, controlling access, and following post orders related to security-related operations.
- Support Allied Universal standards by preparing accurate reports, maintaining awareness of site activity, and following applicable laws, policies, and use of force guidelines for an armed post.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and use of force guidelines for an armed post.
