Armed Security Officer - Patrol Full Time

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer - Patrol Full Time in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, administrative areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining professional communication with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
