About the Role

As a Armed Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will provide outstanding customer service, clear communication, and collaborative support while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity.

Pay Rate: $29.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM, Fri 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM, Sat 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM, Sun 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a government location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals and vehicles entering restricted or controlled areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as required.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow all applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies related to armed duties.

Requirements

• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Baton certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
