About the role

As an Armed Security Officer Part Time Patrol Protection in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, potential loss prevention concerns, and security-related hazards, reporting observations and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Support a professional retail environment by assisting with access control, traffic flow, and coordination with store leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
