About the role
What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act accordingly. As a Tactical Security Officer, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, and more.
Responsibilities
- Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
- Verify identities and control access to secure areas
- React quickly to threats or incidents
- Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
- Document incidents and actions taken
- Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
- Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
- Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass an extensive screening process, background check, and drug test
- Armed Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience is required
- At least 21 years of age or older
- Armed Texas Security license (Commissioned) and meet additional requirements to carry a firearm as a security officer in Texas
- Must have a pistol, level 3 holster, 1 pair of handcuffs, 2 additional magazines with holsters, duty belt, and carriers
- First aid certification is an asset
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
- Results of a passing MMPI test
Schedule
Set schedule: Wednesday 5 PM - 10 PM / Thursday 7 AM - 10 PM / Friday 7:30 AM - 5 PM (29.5 hours/part-time)
Pay
Competitive hourly wage of $22.00. DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees.
