Armed Security Officer - Part Time

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol professional, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Carry authorized armed equipment in accordance with post orders, training, and applicable regulations while maintaining a professional presence during patrols and interactions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or permissions, and support security-related operations involving inmate movement, staff escorts, and controlled access procedures.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
