About the role
As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location in Parker, AZ, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while working as part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, caring, and integrity. This armed post requires an Armed Guard Card/License.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government locations.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
- Maintain authorized armed-post equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policy, and site procedures.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in required reports and logs.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
