Armed Security Officer - City Patrol

About the Role

As an Armed Security Officer - City Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. The position involves routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, monitoring assigned areas, and responding to security-related concerns. A valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at utility facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, perimeters, access points, parking areas, and critical infrastructure to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, notifying appropriate personnel and public emergency services when needed.
• Maintain authorized armed equipment in accordance with applicable laws, company policy, and site requirements, and complete accurate incident and patrol reports.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (required for driving positions).
• Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$19.74 per hour.
