Armed Security Officer - Government Installation

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and potential security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials per site procedures, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a Texas Level III Armed Security License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Have access control or badge experience (preferred).
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$24.33 per hour.

Schedule

Daytime – Monday 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM, Friday 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM (Part‑time).
