Armed Security Officer - Government Facility

About the role
As an Armed Security Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location in San Antonio, TX, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations with professionalism, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Maintain an armed presence in accordance with Allied Universal training, licensing requirements, post orders, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public emergency responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, while observing and reporting unusual activity or security-related concerns.
- Document incidents, patrol activities, access issues, and other security-related observations accurately and in accordance with site procedures.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$22.13 / hour

- Thursday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
- Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
