About the role

This position involves control room operations, entrance monitoring, visitor clearance, interior and exterior patrols, CCTV monitoring, assisting visitors, protecting facilities, searching packages, and performing various security tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate security systems
  • Perform traffic control and incident response
  • Secure buildings and spaces at appropriate times
  • Respond to and evacuate buildings during emergencies
  • Protect government property from unauthorized access
  • Aid visitors and screen individuals and vehicles
  • Work shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Prior armed security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
  • Legal authorization to carry a firearm (if required by contract)
  • Proficient in English
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Able to work flexible hours

Government Requirements

  • Pass all required background investigations
  • Be eligible for the required Government Public Trust/Moderate Risk suitability determination (or other clearance required by the contract)
