Armed Security Officer Full Time Mobile Patrol

As a Security Officer Full‑Time Armed Patrol Driver in Bayboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in government and other industries. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to security‑related concerns, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors while contributing to a controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident activity in accordance with site‑specific requirements.
• Maintain professional communication with facility personnel and appropriate public agencies, and prepare clear, accurate reports of observations and incidents.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• At least 6 months of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver‑policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$21.50 per hour

• Monday: 05:45 PM – 06:00 AM
• Tuesday: 05:45 PM – 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 05:45 PM – 06:00 AM
