What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying identification, observing activity, and following post orders for restricted or controlled areas.
- Support site personnel and first responders during emergencies, alarms, evacuations, and/or other unusual events while maintaining professionalism and clear communication.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
