Security Officer Armed Field Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors with professional communication and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic locations, verifying credentials and/or access permissions in accordance with site protocols and applicable post orders.
- Support investigations of security-related concerns by preparing detailed reports, preserving relevant information, and following direction regarding evidence handling, alarms, and/or emergency notifications.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
