Armed Security Officer Field Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site personnel and/or public sector contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and movement within restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through proper channels.
• Support post orders related to government operations, including maintaining a visible presence, following use-of-force guidelines, and completing required reports, logs, and/or incident documentation accurately and on time.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have an armed guard card and/or license (preferred).
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Skills

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
