Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual conditions, and document security-related incidents, hazards, and/or policy violations according to Allied Universal standards.
• Work with site contacts, local personnel, and/or first responders when appropriate during escalated events, service disruptions, or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
