About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, document observations, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to assigned areas; verify authorization, maintain required logs, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or hazardous conditions according to post orders.
- Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence and following applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal procedures.
Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
