Armed Security Officer

About the role

As a Security Officer – Concierge, you will focus on customer service while working with people on all shifts in environments such as office towers, hotels, and shopping centers. Your ability to build meaningful connections and engage with others will reassure and inspire confidence.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service as a top priority, including access control by checking IDs, answering phones, and managing visitors and deliveries.
• Work as a team player to observe, survey, and report activity at your assigned location.
• Act as a physical deterrent by performing patrols, both on foot and by vehicle (interior/exterior).
• Represent GardaWorld professionally, ensuring a positive image while communicating with clients.
• Maintain a clean and orderly community by addressing clutter, improper parking, and enforcing traffic rules.
• Prevent vagrancy, theft, vandalism, or threats to ensure a safe experience.
• Respond rapidly in critical situations.
• Read and write detailed reports.
• Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards.
• Use a body camera while on duty.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent (GED).
• At least 2 years of armed security experience.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a high-end HOA.
• Own an approved weapon, ammo, and holster.
• Current weapons qualifications.
• Armed PILB in hand.
• Comfortable wearing body cameras.
• Proficient with computers, phones, and other high-tech tools.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 1 week of an offer.
• Must pass an assessment prior to any interview.
• Must be over 21 years old.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Schedule

• 40-hour work week.
• Swing shift: 2pm to 10pm, Wednesday to Sunday.

Pay

Competitive hourly wage of $26.75 per hour. DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees.
