Armed Security Officer

This position is designated as safety-sensitive and cannot be filled by a candidate who is a current user of medical marijuana. Flu vaccines are required.

About the role

Security Officers aid in the protection of persons and property on the Arkansas Children's campus(es). The Officer is armed and performs/enforces a full range of threat management duties within the workspace.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas to enforce AC security/safety regulations and criminal/traffic laws.
• Engages in Emergency Response and Emergency Management.
• Provides strategic assistance and responds to customer service needs as required.
• Assists in controlling traffic and enforcing parking rules and regulations.
• Assists in performing investigations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2 years of relevant security experience; a high school diploma or GED may substitute for 2 years of work experience.
• High school diploma or GED (recommended).

Pay

Most new hires start between $17.20 and $21.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

• Full time, day shift.
• Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
