Armed Security Officer ($30.00/HR, Full Time + Benefits) - Retail - Anchorage, AK

Responsibilities

• Maintains visual, electronic, or auditory surveillance of assigned areas.
• Patrols large property areas by foot.
• Ensures safety and compliance through verbal de-escalation and use of restraints.
• Checks doors, windows, and facilities for security.
• Reports and records incidents and violations.
• Warns and expels violators.
• Verifies customer receipts and notifies staff of visitors.
• Responds to emergencies and disasters.
• Monitors safety and life support computer programs.
• Notifies supervisor of unsatisfactory safety and sanitation.
• Performs other pertinent departmental duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Ability to obtain and pay $97.00 Alaska Guard License fee.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Alaska Armed Guard License.
• Team player with ability to make decisions independently.
• Capable of standing for 8-12 hours per shift.
• Fluent in English for communication and documentation.
• Complies with safety guidelines and regulations.
