Unarmed Security Officer (Full Time + Benefits) - Retail - Anchorage, AK

Responsibilities

• Maintains visual, electronic, or auditory surveillance of assigned areas.
• Patrols a large area of property by foot.
• Ensures safety and compliance among self and others.
• Uses restraints and verbal de-escalation techniques to manage situations.
• Checks doors, windows, and other areas for security.
• Reports and records data according to company policies.
• Warns and expels violators of rules.
• Monitors customer receipts and notifies on-site individuals of visitors.
• Responds to emergencies and disasters to preserve life and property.
• Performs routine input or monitoring of safety and life support computer programs.
• Notifies supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not being met.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Pass State of Alaska background check and pay $97.00 for Alaska Guard License.
• Work cooperatively with fellow employees, customers, and clients.
• Make decisions independently with minimal supervision.
• Be able to stand for 7.5 hours per shift.
• Speak, understand, read, and write English.
• Meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.
