About the role
Protect people and property with professional, outdoors-first patrols. NYS Armed License + pistol permit or Yellow Card required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive foot patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Maintain a highly visible security presence
- Monitor and control access to client properties
- Identify, assess, and respond appropriately to suspicious activity
- Enforce site policies and security procedures
- Respond professionally to alarms, emergencies, and critical incidents
- Aid employees, visitors, and clients with professionalism and courtesy
- Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely incident reports
Requirements
- A valid New York State Armed Security License
- Either: - A valid unrestricted New York State Pistol Permit, or
- A valid NYS Yellow Carry Card, which authorizes individuals with pistol permits to work in an armed capacity.
Qualifications
- Ability to work assignments throughout Manhattan
- Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions
- Excellent observation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Professional appearance with a strong customer service mindset
- Proven reliability and strong work ethic
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to successfully complete all required screenings and pre-employment training
