Armed Security Guard - Long Island

About the role

This is an active, highly visible role for professionals who remain alert, exercise sound judgment, and take pride in representing themselves and their company with professionalism. Multiple assignments are available throughout Long Island (Greenvale, Roslyn Heights, Great Neck, Cedarhurst, and Woodmere). Placement will be based on operational needs and business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive foot patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment
• Maintain a highly visible security presence
• Monitor and control access to client properties
• Identify, assess, and respond appropriately to suspicious activity
• Enforce site policies and security procedures
• Respond professionally to alarms, emergencies, and critical incidents
• Aid employees, visitors, and clients with professionalism and courtesy
• Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely incident reports

Requirements

• Valid New York State Armed Security License
• Valid unrestricted New York State pistol permit or a valid NYS Yellow Carry Card
• Ability to work assignments in Long Island (Greenvale, Roslyn Heights, Great Neck, Cedarhurst, and Woodmere)
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions
• Excellent observation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Professional appearance with a strong customer service mindset
• Proven reliability and strong work ethic
• High School Diploma or GED
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to successfully complete all required screenings and pre-employment training

• Experience in one or more of the following environments: Corporate Security, Commercial Office Buildings, Luxury Residential Buildings, Residential Communities, Executive Protection Support, Healthcare Facilities, Educational Institutions, Houses of Worship, Critical Infrastructure, High-Net-Worth Residential Security, Access Control & Patrol Operations

Pay

$26.50 - 31.00 per hour
$28.50 - $33.00 per hour for special events
