Job Summary

DK Security is seeking a part-time Armed School Security Officer for a position in Jackson County. This is a safety-sensitive armed security position in a school environment.

Job Skills / Requirements

• Current and valid Concealed Pistol License (CPL) or authorization under LEOSA
• Law enforcement experience or applicable military experience preferred
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Ability to perform CPR and other emergency response duties
• Ability to use hands and fingers to operate tools, radios, and other security equipment
• Sound judgment, emotional control, and decision-making skills under pressure
• Ability to safely and responsibly carry and use a firearm
• Clean and professional appearance
• Professional, respectful, and courteous behavior
• Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Conducting foot and vehicle patrols
• Monitoring assigned posts and access points
• Identifying and reporting suspicious activity
• Supporting safety planning and coordination with school staff
• Maintaining a safe environment for students, staff, visitors, vendors, and the client
• Responding professionally and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns
• Maintaining a visible, alert, and professional security presence on site

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Certification
