DK Security is Michigan's fastest-growing security company, founded in 1995. We provide a variety of security services including uniform security, event staff security, and loss prevention. This position offers the opportunity to work in a professional setting and serve a critical purpose.

Job Skills / Requirements

• Current and valid Concealed Pistol License (CPL) or authorized to carry under LEOSA
• Law enforcement experience or applicable military experience strongly preferred
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, patrol, and move quickly when responding to emergencies
• Certified in CPR or willing to become certified
• Able to perform CPR and other emergency response duties as required
• Able to use hands and fingers to operate tools, radios, and other security equipment
• Demonstrate sound judgment, emotional control, and decision-making skills under pressure
• Able to safely, responsibly, and professionally carry and use a firearm in accordance with law, client expectations, and DK Security policy
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance in accordance with DK Security company policy
• Act professionally, communicate respectfully, and remain kind, courteous, and service-oriented in all interactions
• Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, visitors, vendors, clients, and members of the public

Pay and Schedule

The current pay rate for the school assignment is $27.23 per hour. This rate is established by DK Security’s contractual arrangement with the client and cannot be negotiated with applicants. Pay rates at other DK Security locations may vary based on the applicable client contract.

Benefits

This position is at-will employment. DK Security will fill this position through W-2 employment only and will not hire any person as an independent contractor for this opening. No additional benefits are provided beyond the stated pay rate.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements for this position include:

• Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL) or authorized to carry under LEOSA
• High School Diploma or GED Certification

Skills

Skills required for this position include:

• Conducting foot and vehicle patrols
• Monitoring assigned posts and access points
• Identifying and reporting suspicious activity
• Supporting safety planning and coordination with school staff
• Helping maintain a safe environment for students, staff, visitors, vendors, and the client
• Responding professionally and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns
• Maintaining a visible, alert, and professional security presence on site
