About the Role

The Safety & Security Officer provides protective services to all persons and property across the Mount Carmel Health System.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment through job knowledge, skills, and engagement.
- Intervene as appropriate in any safety & security observed issues.
- Enforce all governmental regulations, standards, and policies associated with Mount Carmel Health System and Safety & Security (e.g., smoking policy).
- Communicate safety and security discrepancies to the appropriate parties for mitigation.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED required.
- Receipt of Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy certificate of completion prior to being assigned a shift as an Armed Safety and Security Officer for Mount Carmel.
- Three to five years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military disciplines, or equivalent training (e.g., criminal justice, homeland security, or law enforcement academy) is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record maintained.
