Armed Officer Act 235
Responsibilities
- Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
- Verify identities and control access to secure areas
- React quickly to threats or incidents
- Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
- Document incidents and actions taken
- Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
- Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
Requirements
- Active Act 235 Certification
- Physical ability essential for patrolling a hospital environment
Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- At least 21 years old
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- ACT 235 Lethal Weapons Training Certification
- Current immunizations
- Own a 9mm caliber handgun
- OCAT-Path Certification (less-lethal alternative)
- Strong communication skills
- First aid/CPR certification and IAHSS Basic Course (asset)
