Arena Attendant (Part Time)
About the role
Arena Attendants will perform general custodial and maintenance duties within the Township’s recreational facilities, including late-evening and weekend hours to accommodate user groups.
Responsibilities
- Assist with set-up, takedown, and operation of facilities for functions, reception, and event rentals
- Perform general and custodial maintenance (cleaning stands, removing debris, mopping, cleaning dressing rooms, moving nets for ice resurfacing, etc.)
- Provide professional customer service to the public as a municipal representative
Requirements
- Prior experience in an arena environment or customer service role (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
Pay
Hourly wage based on minimum wage as determined by the Employment Standards Act, 2000.
Schedule
Part-time, variable hours per week including evenings and weekends.
About the role
Canteen Servers will provide customer service and food handling at the Ennismore Arena for the 2026-2027 season.
Responsibilities
- Handle cash transactions and provide customer service
- Demonstrate initiative and work cooperatively in a team environment
- Maintain professionalism while representing the municipality
Requirements
- Customer service experience with cash handling (required)
- Certification in Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety Awareness for Workers (or ability to obtain)
- Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities
Pay
Hourly wage based on minimum wage as determined by the Employment Standards Act, 2000.
About the role
The Deputy Fire Chief will supervise Fire Department operations, enforce fire safety legislation, and provide leadership to ensure effective and efficient department performance.
Responsibilities
- Enforce the Ontario Fire Code, Fire Protection and Prevention Act, and other applicable standards
- Provide leadership and supervision to volunteer firefighters
- Apply modern firefighting, rescue, and fire prevention principles
- Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation (Occupational Health and Safety Act, NFPA, CSA, ULC standards)
- Deliver superior customer service to internal and external contacts
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ supervisory experience in a fire service
- Degree/diploma in Administration, Management, or Business (or equivalent combination of education/training/experience)
- Required certifications (or ability to attain): NFPA 1001 (Firefighter I & II), NFPA 1021 (Fire Officer I, II, III), NFPA 1031 (Fire Inspector I), NFPA 1033 (Fire Investigator), NFPA 1035-1 (Public Educator), NFPA 1041 (Fire Instructor I & II)
- First Aid, CPR, defibrillation, and oxygen therapy certification
- Valid Class “D” licence with “Z” endorsement
- Proven leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Pay
Annual salary range of $90,854 to $110,552 based on a 40-hour work week.
