Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a specific area of the store and managing general operations and supervision when acting as the Manager on Duty. Key responsibilities include ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment, customer service, merchandise management, loss prevention, and front-end operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment by immediately correcting or reporting unsafe conditions.
• Manage customer service, treating all associates and customers with respect and professionalism.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Manage associates, train them on cash registers and other procedures, and manage break schedules.
• Supervise fitting rooms, ensuring compliance with company policy and maintaining cleanliness.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of the working time.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
• Ability to lift and push/pull more than 25 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
