Area Supervisor - ABA Supported Living Services (Los Angeles County)

About the role

Join our Supported Living Services team and make a direct, positive impact on the lives of adults with autism or other developmental disabilities. As a Supported Living Services Supervisor, you will train and supervise employees who teach and assist clients in building skills for independent living. Services are provided in the individual's home and in varied community settings across Los Angeles County, including Hollywood, Downtown LA, Koreatown, West LA, Santa Monica, South Bay, Culver City, Inglewood, Gardena, Hawthorne, San Pedro, and Long Beach.

Your daily routine can include facilitating community connections, leading team meetings, supervising direct support and senior staff, developing and implementing individual program plans, providing direct support and crisis intervention, training staff in independent life skills, maintaining positive relationships with clients, and promoting adaptive behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct support staff and senior staff
• Develop and oversee implementation of creative individual program plans
• Provide direct support, emergency on-call support, and crisis intervention as needed
• Train staff to teach independent life skills
• Maintain positive relationships with individuals served
• Increase helpful, adaptive behaviors
• Support clients in daily routines including nutrition, self-care, social and recreational activities, personal relationships, and money management
• Act as on-call emergency support (24-hour availability when scheduled)
• Substitute for unavailable senior staff
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Document and maintain records with strong computer proficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field (or comparable training and experience supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disability, and/or challenging behaviors)
• Minimum 6 years of related experience in the field
• Must pass Supervisor exam upon hire and maintain certification
• Proven experience as a personal care assistant
• Committed to health and safety
• Excellent organization, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Positive, compassionate attitude and strong ethics
• Physical stamina; ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and lift 25 lbs
• Willingness to perform direct care duties
• 24-hour on-call availability for emergencies when scheduled
• Knowledge of positive behavior support practices
• Certification in CPR, First Aid, and ProAct within the first two weeks of employment
• Valid California Driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Current car insurance
• Proof of highest level of education completed and/or qualifying certificates
• Ability to pass a background check
• Knowledge of dual diagnosis, Title 17/22, IPP, and behavior modification programs

Pay

Starts at $70,304.00 per year (salaried, exempt).

Schedule

Full-Time with on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and some overnights.
