Area Service Manager
About the role
The Area Service Manager is responsible for managing the onboarding of Commercial and Treasury Management customers across a large, multi-region area. This role directs day-to-day activities to ensure timely and accurate onboardings, completion of customer service requests, and deepening of customer relationships through high-quality service. The Senior Manager takes ownership of complex or high-visibility onboardings, collaborates with Senior Leadership, and drives cross-sell opportunities to enhance client experience.
Responsibilities
- Direct overall day-to-day activities to ensure timeliness and accuracy of onboardings and customer service requests across multiple teams and subordinate managers.
- Take personal ownership of complex or high-visibility onboardings or issues, consulting with Senior Leadership as needed.
- Drive teams to deepen customer relationships by delivering high-quality and extraordinary service experiences.
- Identify and manage cross-sell opportunities, coordinating efforts through team managers.
- Continually challenge teams to review customer portfolios and improve client experience.
- Lead special projects as requested by Senior Leadership partners.
- Organize workflow for designated groups and projects.
- Develop, train, and supervise staff.
- Partner with the Sales team to present a unified local team approach to customers.
- Act as a liaison with other departments and divisions.
- Provide direction in establishing new policies, procedures, and technology.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on area productivity to senior management.
- Prepare, monitor, control, and report on the area’s performance, including adherence to SLAs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of Treasury Management experience.
- 3+ years of Treasury Management experience (specific).
- 3+ years of management experience, including coaching and talent development.
- 3+ years of client services experience with Commercial clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Experience in the banking industry, particularly in Commercial Lending/Treasury Management.
- Expertise in Treasury Management Product Onboarding.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar and demeanor.

- Experience in talent management.
Workplace Type
This is an office-based role. Certain positions outside the branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement, combining in-office and remote work. Remote roles will have opportunities to collaborate in-person for key moments. Specific arrangements will be provided by the hiring team.
Pay
Total base pay range: $77,000 – $154,000 USD annually. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, experience, and education. This role is also eligible for participation in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
