About the role
The Area Safety Representative is responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and policies in the assigned area.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
- Provide training and education on safety protocols
- Document and report incidents and near-misses
- Collaborate with other departments to improve overall safety practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a safety management role
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 50%
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with safety software and databases
