Area Safety Manager- Heavy Civil Construction

Responsibilities
- Support and help lead safety efforts across multiple heavy civil projects
- Conduct site visits, audits, safety observations, and inspections
- Partner with project teams to identify and mitigate jobsite risks
- Coach field employees and leadership on safe work practices
- Assist with incident investigations and corrective action plans
- Help ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Deliver and support safety training initiatives
- Build strong relationships with crews, superintendents, and operations teams
- Promote and reinforce a proactive, team-oriented safety culture
Requirements
- Experience in heavy civil construction safety
- Strong field presence and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with operations and field leadership
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include OSHA 500/510 certifications, CHST, CSP, or other safety certifications, and experience supporting roadway, excavation, utility, concrete, or infrastructure projects.
