About the role

As the Area Premium Window-Millwork Specialist, you will serve as a sales and project-management expert for high-end window and millwork products. You will build and maintain relationships with Premium and Luxury contractors and homeowners to drive sales and ensure project specifications are met throughout the entire project life-cycle—from initial consultation to quoting, ordering, and installation.

Responsibilities

  • Increase store margin percentage and gross profit dollars on premium windows and doors.
  • Significantly expand 84 Lumber’s market share of premium windows and doors.
  • Strive for the Perfect Order by reducing order-entry errors.
  • Build stronger working relationships with local manufacturing sales representatives, fostering long-term trust and lead management.
  • Perform take-offs, quoting, ordering, and acknowledgment checks.
  • Collaborate with all clad brand partners.
  • Assist with window quotes and sales on large, complex commercial jobs (vinyl and clad).
  • Conduct field inspections alongside field-service technicians to identify product-service needs when necessary.
  • Work with Divisional Premium Window Managers, Area Managers, and store managers to target new business for 84 Lumber.

Work environment

  • Flexible indoor and outdoor meetings with clients, staff, and salespeople.
  • Regular jobsite and/or office visits.
  • Frequent sitting, use of hands, talking, and listening; periodic walking, standing, and reaching; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to navigate rough construction-site terrain.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in dynamic situations.
  • After hire, complete the Advance Window & Door Training program (levels 1–3).
  • Minimum of 2 years of clad (premium) window selling experience.

Schedule

Full-time position requiring 45+ hours per week, aligned with store operating hours. Travel may be required.
