About the role
Ossur is a global leader in non-invasive orthopedics, and their prosthetic products genuinely change lives. As an Area Sales Manager, you will drive sales growth across your territory by building strong relationships with prosthetists and healthcare professionals, and by executing smart, disciplined sales strategy.
Responsibilities
- Hit or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for lower limb prosthetic products
- Conduct scheduled sales presentations to O&P practitioners and other healthcare professionals
- Leverage technical, competitive, and industry knowledge to overcome objections and sharpen your approach
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clinical decision-makers, including prosthetists and other medical professionals
- Respond promptly to internal and external customers and deliver exceptional service consistently
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to build and execute competitive sales strategies tied to corporate goals
- Partner with the Sales Effectiveness Manager to implement Territory Sales Management (TSM) across the territory
- Lead “corporate deal” efforts that leverage the prosthetic line to drive revenue while creating real value for customers
- Work closely with Sales Leadership and internal departments to keep efforts coordinated and resources well-utilized
- Participate in the Sales Force Council and similar forums to contribute input on product development and go-to-market strategy
- Submit accurate, timely reports including expenses and Salesforce updates
- Manage territory expenses proactively and exercise sound judgment with company funds
- Lead go-to-market trials and represent Ossur at trade shows, regional meetings, and industry forums
- Actively contribute feedback on product strategies and developments through leadership initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in life sciences or a business-related field
- 2+ years of direct business-to-business field sales experience, ideally in medical or healthcare
- A track record of hitting 100% of quota for at least two consecutive years
- Frequent daily travel within the territory, with overnight travel as needed
