Area Manager -New Jersey

About the role

ESCO, a division of Eurpac Services Inc., seeks an Area Manager for the company's Ft Meade, Maryland market. The role involves managing, leading, and directing a team of Base Managers (BM’s) to ensure successful service and selling activities at Commissary facilities on military bases.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current distribution and meet 30-day goal on new distribution
• Goal of less than 1% gaps in sales
• Attain all volume targets and exceed DeCA sales trends
• Adhere to approved budget
• Use EAGLE Eye and Retail IQ to achieve goals
• Manage and positively influence relationships with clients and store management
• Distribute and manage distributor communication
• Train and manage BMs to sell, schedule, and execute displays, promotions, demos, and new item implementations
• Coordinate independent contractors (stockers, demonstrators, etc.) and manage their payments
• Manage customer-related accounting procedures such as vendor credit memos and price reductions
• Achieve call frequency objectives and report in a timely manner using provided technology
• Train and manage teams on use of IT tools at the shelf, including experts in EAGLE Eye and Retail IQ software
• Handle other projects and requests as needed or assigned by senior leadership

Requirements

Build, install, and move various racks weighing up to 100 lbs. Build displays with up to 40lb case weight Perform freezer work at 0°F Travel for store resets lasting from 1 to 3 days Occasionally handle outside case lot sales and weekend special events Must pass a driver’s background check and a base required background check Complete and maintain DD Form 3150 for installation and facility access

Qualifications

• Pass a driver’s background check and a base required background check
• Complete and maintain DD Form 3150 for installation and facility access
• Existing military base access strongly preferred
• Must have access to a computer, printer, and smartphone to download information from websites

Skills

• Expertise in EAGLE Eye and Retail IQ software
• Ability to manage and train teams effectively
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience with inventory management and display coordination

Pay

The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually.
