The Opportunity
This role is ideal for recent graduates looking to lead people and operations from day one. You'll join our Phillipsburg fulfillment center as an Area Manager, overseeing a team of 30-100 and supporting the Operations team. No prior warehouse or management experience is required; structured training is provided.
You Will
- Coach, manage, and develop a team of 30-100 (with support from site leadership).
- Create, manage, and support recognition programs.
- Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance.
- Own performance reporting for your areas of responsibility, including on-time receiving and shipping, inventory accuracy, and packing quality.
- Hold yourself and your team to clear SLA expectations, providing concise reports when needed.
- Facilitate troubleshooting with cross-functional partners on fulfillment-related problems.
- Measure and respond to gaps in inventory accuracy, identifying root causes and resolving them.
- Review defect rates to identify trends and surface opportunities to improve operations.
- Track learnings and best practices to contribute to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Help prioritize the resolution of systemic problems, working closely with Growth and Engineering teams.
You Should Have
- A bachelor's degree completed within the last 12 months, or expected within the next few months.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, such as in campus organizations, athletics, ROTC/military, student government, internships, or part-time jobs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort learning new processes quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer literacy, including comfort with Google Sheets/Excel.
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative, personable approach with a strong affinity for working cross-functionally.
- Great attention to detail and an appreciation for the complexity behind consistent day-to-day operations.
- Willingness and ability to work any permanent shift, including overnights, holidays, and weekend overlap.
Nice to Have
- Coursework, internships, or part-time experience in warehousing, fulfillment, supply chain, or logistics.
- Experience with SQL or other reporting/data tools.
- Experience collaborating with external partners or vendors.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to work in an environment where noise levels and temperature vary (60–90°F, occasionally higher).
- Must be able to work on a secure mezzanine at a height of up to 40 feet (applies to buildings with mezzanines).
Pay
The US base salary range for this position is $71,280—$89,100 USD. Base salary is just one part of our total rewards package, which includes bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefit offerings such as medical, dental, and flexible time off.
