Area Manager - Client Relations - HOA Community Management

Do you want to oversee your own team in a stable, recession‑proof industry while making a significant impact and growing professionally? We are seeking an experienced leader who can develop and motivate a staff of HOA Community Managers, deliver high‑quality customer service, meet strict deadlines, and handle legal requirements. Evening meetings (typically 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.) are required once or twice per week.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and leadership to Community Managers, ensuring service delivery meets or exceeds client expectations.
  • Become the technical expert on the Texas Property Code and serve as the department’s specialist.
  • Manage, lead, and develop a team of Community Managers and other staff, delivering consistent service product delivery.
  • Provide ongoing development, training, and coaching for staff.
  • Develop relationships with the Boards of Directors we serve and resolve escalated homeowner challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with the Division Director on staff development, customer portfolio, and division direction.
  • Oversee daily activities, assign specific Community Manager work, and review employee activities for completeness, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Attend frequent evening board meetings and site drives to learn the properties we serve.
  • Promote a positive, supportive department culture that emphasizes expertise, diligent problem‑solving, and same‑day response to customer calls and correspondence.
  • Serve as a positive opinion‑maker on the leadership team, believing in the good in people.
  • Report to the Division President for Client Relations.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of solid leadership and management experience, including leading a team of ten or more employees.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in a customer‑service environment.
  • Ability to manage demanding service products with deadlines and legal requirements.
  • Willingness to attend evening meetings (typically 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.) once or twice per week.
  • Competitive, quality‑oriented mindset with strong attention to deadlines and accuracy.
  • Servant‑leadership attitude with a talent for team development and motivation.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and proactive customer‑service skills.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HOA operations, financials, vendor management, public meetings, and administration (industry experience not required; training provided).
  • Ability to foster a supportive culture and drive continuous improvement.
  • Presentation, negotiation, HR, fiscal management, conflict resolution, planning, and legal‑requirements expertise (developed on the job).
  • Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team‑oriented environment.

Pay

Salary range: $65,000 – $70,000, based on experience. This is a salaried, exempt position.

Schedule

Full‑time, more than 40 hours per week. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., with occasional evening meetings (6 p.m. – 8 p.m.).
