About the role

Responsible for sales growth of Össur bracing & support products. Make sales presentations to all medical professionals within the assigned territory to elicit use of Össur orthopedic products and achieve sales goals within the defined territory or assigned customer base. Primary customer call points include all departments within the hospital setting where Össur orthopedic products are utilized (e.g., Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Trauma, Emergency Medicine, and Materials Management) and private clinics with a focus on Orthopedic and O&P offices. Develop and build relationships with various clinical decision makers to expand Össur’s core customer base and product sales market share. Help develop effective sales strategies to achieve sales goals and objectives within the designated territory. This opening covers Eastern Florida from Jacksonville to Palm Beach.

Responsibilities

  • Attain or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual territory sales objectives for all products.
  • Make scheduled, personalized sales presentations to medical professionals in the assigned territory or to assigned customers to elicit use of Össur products and achieve sales goals.
  • Utilize all available tools to effectively execute the sales plan within the assigned territory and/or customer file, including other sales team resources (e.g., CAM, Specialists), literature, and promotional materials.
  • Consistently maintain a high level of output according to established productivity standards.
  • Make effective use of all resources to sustain optimum performance and efficiency with a focus on growth and profitability.
  • Develop and execute strategic solutions toward the total market to effectively grow the territory profitably.
  • Respond promptly to the needs of both internal and external customers. Be proactive in cost containment and management of expenses.
  • Maintain and use a professional arsenal of industry, technical, and competitive knowledge to overcome objections and effectively implement sales and product strategies.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of technical competency, 90% or above on all testing.
  • Work collaboratively with the local “Independent Representative” organization and other partner distribution partners within the territory to ensure sales goals are attained.
  • Maintain, analyze, and use territory/customer reports and databases to effectively and efficiently organize and plan territory priorities and activities.
  • Keep management informed of customer and competitive activity that could impact the sales or marketing position of our products. Submit accurate and timely territory reports, including expenses.
  • Exercise good judgment in the use of company funds to ensure territory profitability.
  • Comply with both the spirit and letter of applicable laws and regulations. Seek assistance when faced with potential legal or regulatory issues.
  • Maintain a professional image and demeanor consistent with the image of Össur.
  • Carry out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of company data, including new product information, marketing strategies, discount programs, pricing information, and other business proprietary information.
  • All employees must be aware of, have knowledge of, and shall have received general training in Quality requirements of Össur. Training takes place in the Onboarding process and in New Employee Orientation. More specific Quality training is job-specific.
  • All training related to the quality management system is done in accordance with the Training Management Process (QM1681).
  • Exercise good use of company funds and property within set guidelines. Maintain an honest and professional attitude as the company’s representative at all times.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment by maintaining your own workspace and reporting any potential hazards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a life science or business discipline.
  • Minimum three plus years in direct field sales, preferably in medical products.
  • Prior experience selling O&P, Physical Therapy, or Orthopedic products highly desirable.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, task, and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel 50%.

Pay

Base Salary Range: $68,500 - $84,500
On Target Earnings: $113,500 - $129,500
Uncapped commission structure & high-income potential.

Schedule

Frequent daily travel to client sites within the territory, with overnight travel as needed to service customers and grow the territory.
